Geoff Crinean (pronounced Crineen) is President of Business insight and is a coach who is committed to excellence in coaching. He has clients who are CEO’s, entrepreneurs, executives, artists, writers, and business owners. He has been consulting with and mentoring people in business for 30 years across three continents, is a member of the International Coaching Federation, and in the past few years has trained and been Certified as a Co-Active Coach with the U.S.-based Coaches Training Institute. He is also a certified Bigger Game Coach.

His six careers, before becoming a full-time coach, were as a nuclear physicist, computer programmer, software development manager, oil & natural gas industry consultant, marketing & sales director, and small business owner. He has a BSc and PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He owns a couple of small businesses (managed by others) and is a part-time writer. He has spent a lot of time consulting at senior levels in large organizations - in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., South Africa, and Australia – in industries such as engineering, computing, information technology & software development, mining, oil & gas, and finance.

In parallel with his business life, for the past 30 years Geoff has studied and practiced meditation and the principles of Buddhism, as taught by some of the worlds greatest Buddhist meditation masters. He became a student of Chogyam Trungpa in 1977 and soon began to teach and bring the great insights of Tibetan Buddhism into his business career. When Trungpa Rinpoche died in 1987, he continued to study and teach, giving workshops on meditation, the path of spiritual warriorship and related themes. He never imposes his spiritual understanding or beliefs on others.

Geoff lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has a wonderful wife, an amazing stepdaughter, and a great life.
